E-mail Forwarding
What's e-mail forwarding? Just how does it work? In which instances is it especially useful?
The term email forwarding describes an e-mail message being forwarded from a receiving address to a third-party address that is not listed as a recipient. For instance, a customer sends out an email from their private mailbox to support@domain.com and as far as they are concerned, this is actually the single recipient. If there's an active forwarding, the email could be forwarded to owner@domain.com, for instance, although the customer in no way meant the email to be sent there and may not be aware of the presence of this mailbox. There are various reasons for using such forwarding. For example, if you've several e-mail addresses it is possible to forward all of them to a sole email address, which will make monitoring email messages less difficult and will allow you to receive emails and respond promptly. The function could also be used if a number of people should receive a copy of an e mail message delivered to a general mailbox.
E-mail Forwarding in Cloud Web Hosting
If you have a cloud web hosting plan with our company and you create an email address inside your account, you are able to forward it with just a couple of mouse clicks to any other e-mail address of your choosing. The feature can be enabled when you make a brand new mailbox or at any time later and deactivated just as quickly in case you change your mind. This is done through the Hepsia Hosting Control Panel where you can handle your account. You'll have the option to decide if a backup of the incoming emails will remain on our servers or not. The advantage of this option is you will always have a backup on your server if anything occurs with the other email address or maybe it's not active for some reason during the time an email is forwarded. When the option is not active, an e-mail will be received, forwarded and removed from our system no matter if the remote e-mail address is working or not, so it generally is a wise decision for it to be enabled just to be on the safe side.
